Fairway’s Story
Joseph Racicot Sr. founded Fairway Painting and Sandblasting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1968 and relocated the business to La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1971. Joe’s daughter Carrie and son-in-law Rob Johnson took over the business when he retired in 1994.
Under Carrie and Rob’s ownership, Fairway’s size grew immensely as the company became known throughout the Midwest for its tremendous capabilities – both at the shop facility and with their road crews. The continuous reinvestment into the business allowed Fairway to establish itself as a best-in-class coating contractor, servicing a diverse client base across the country.
In 2015, the business was transitioned to a new ownership group that embodies the same values of excellence, reinvestment, growth and expansion, and client-focused service.
Today, Fairway boasts roughly 86,000 square feet of shop facilities that encompass its vast blasting, painting, and powder coating capabilities. Fairway’s road crews are recognized as a leader in high performance coatings for governments & municipalities, industrial & construction complex projects, food grade facilities, and more.
Beyond Fairway’s tremendous facilities and equipment, it’s truly the amazing family of employees whose commitment, professionalism, experience, and expertise allow Fairway to thrive and grow in the ever-changing and highly competitive business environment.
